OPAC performed engineering services on the following projects under this program:

"A" Line South, Bay Fair Station to Fremont Station Project in Alameda County. Perform seismic vulnerability studies and prepare retrofit strategies for a 43-span viaduct and 5 smaller bridges in Hayward and Union City along the BART "A" Line South alignment. The viaduct consists of 2 parallel precast concrete girders each carrying one BART track and crosses over railroad tracks. Each of the smaller bridges carries 2 BART tracks. Prepare retrofit design of bridges that do not satisfy the Safety Performance criteria under the Design Basis Earthquake.

"R" Line, Oakland 12th Street Station to Richmond Station Project in Contra Costa County. Perform seismic vulnerability studies for viaducts in Oakland, Berkeley, El Cerrito and Richmond along the BART "R" Line alignment. Each viaduct consists of 2 parallel precast concrete girders carrying one BART track per girder. A total of 8 frames with up to 20 spans were analyzed. Prepare retrofit design of bridges that do not satisfy the Safety Performance criteria under the Design Basis Earthquake.

"M" Line, Balboa Park Station to Daly City Station Project in San Mateo County. Perform a check of the seismic vulnerability study for a 53-span viaduct in Daly City along the BART "M" Line alignment. The viaduct consists of 2 parallel precast concrete girders each carrying one BART track. Perform a check of the retrofit design of this viaduct to satisfy the Operability Performance criteria under the Lower-level Design Basis Earthquake.
